I do hope you get someone to help this poor fox.I had a very good experience with the RSPCA.Few years ago I could hear the sound of a dog barking underground!at the side of the road.It was a boiling hot day.One chap turned up and listened .Decided a dog was stuck in a culvert. He dug with a spade for about an hour shirtless and eventually dragged out 2 Jack Russels who had somehow got stuck.Luckily I recognised them and he took them back to their home. They would have died, but luckily I just heard a little bark.
He worked so hard to rescue them.

One more thing,if anyone is worried about a Badger there is
'Badger Watch' I found a baby just lying on the top of a field, these people came out found the sett and took it back to the entrance.

I found a hedgehog wondering along the road in daylight. I knew that was not a good sign. So I got out a rug and lifted it up,put it in back of car and took it home.
SSPCA came within an hour or so and took it away.

A few month later I had a box on my doorstep from them. I dreaded to think what was in it.....it was the hedghog and it looked great.
It stayed with us a for a couple of weeks then went away.

It's a good job you were in Marion. What would have happened if you had moved? or gone on a 6 month cruise around the world?

I am a farmer and foxes are vermin
to be shot on sight!
But I really wouldnt want to tackle
a fox without proper equipment,
i.e. - a gun or trap.
A cornered fox can be dangerous.
Do you really expect Taff to chase it
around the backyard trying to hit it
with a lenghth of 4 by 2?
