My son and his Fiancee who live in Denmark have just had a baby boy who they have named Tobias.

Nick only rang me at 11:45pm to say that Sunneva's waters had broken and he was getting a taxi to take them to the hospital in Copenhagen. He rang me at 12:55 am to say baby Tobias had been born. The labour has been recorded as 15 minutes!!!

And that is their 1st baby!

I don't know any more details... weight etc. as he had just nipped out whilst they were cleaning Sunneva up etc so he didn't know the weight... I will let you know as soon as I know.

I am so excited, I can hardly believe I am a Nanna.

Mum, where ever you are, you have a great grandson, I know you would have loved him very much :)

Goodness! I'm so excited... I don't think I will sleep much tonight.

The Danish way to pronounce Tobias is 'To-bee-us' they will probably call him Toby for short.

They wanted a name which would suit both English and Danish (although Sunneva is actually Faroese) but it suits the Faroe Islands aswell.

I am so proud of them... I can't wait to go and see them. They had previously said they wanted a couple of weeks on their own first....

Patience is not my strong point but I will wait until I have the go ahead... then try and stop me lol

Hi again Gaynor,

I was 39 when I became a grandmother, the younger you are the better you cope with lots of them, I now have 5 grandchildren from the eldest 21 years and the youngest only 4 years old.
