My husband once took 6 hours to install a door bell! he had to drill a hole through the wood frame for the wire, but the drill wasn't long enough, he drilled from the outside then went and drilled from the inside but the holes didn't meet so he drilled again, and again and again the hole ended up as big as a 5p, and along with the 6 meters of wire/cable stuff he had bought (he only needed 6 foot, he hasn't done much DIY since. |

My husband and plumbing don't mix. We have had water coming down through the light fittings and another time he lent on a pipe in the loft and fractured it, yet more water.We have plastic pipes and they have to be mended with a special adhesive which takes a while to set. |
