I like the idea of an exciting day out for him, just wondered if he should have something to be able to show his grandchildren one day!!

my youngest is 21 in December and for her sisters 21st I brought 21 small but significant presents and put them in a box. for her to open on the day. Eldest loved it. and youngest has already said that she wants one too, Little does she know I've already started buying little things.

You're not kidding! When daughter was 18 we bought her pearls - we said she wouldn't want them until she got older! Son had his watch.

I think it's nice to get the sort of present that will last, hence jewellery or whatever - but I am really stumped this time.

Don't you find that 21 year olds seem to have everything these days... where did I go wrong? lol, I'm 47 and would love half the things they have.

Good luck, hope he has a great day.

Just been reading about signet rings....my eldest son will be 21 next month and we are trying to decide what to get him - for his 18th he had a posh watch.

We had thought of a personalised number plate for his car but that's all we've come up with so far so would appreciate some suggestions!

His sister can't remember what she had two years ago and neither can we! Hopeless or what??
