Just preparing to head up to bed, but caught an item on our local news. A wren has built a nest in a patio heater, and the gentleman commented he would have to put on an extra sweater until the birds have left. |

They make a cracking place for wrens to nest though. |

I've never understood patio heaters or barbecues for that matter - you have a cooker in the kitchen, why cart everything outside where there are flies and suchlike!!! An age thing I suppose |

Hi Deb - I think your climate must have a lot to do with it - our weather is so unpredictable here - we've just had two glorious days, really hot, but tomorrow - well that promises to be a bummer - just no consistency |

We had a BBQ last night but if it is too cold to sit in the garden we sit in the conservatory with the doors open. Debs, all we can hear is the traffic on the main road. we do have birds but only the garden to look a, no river and too much light pollution to appreciate the stars. |

Went to BBQ at friends, all squeezed under a cover, pouring with rain, all went home to get fleeces and put on warm trousers. |

They are supposed to be very environmentally unfriendly apparently. Modern version of the camp fire I think lol |

I read that as well, supposed to give out a huge carbon footprint. |
