Mrs. Blue Eyes Report 13 Jun 2008 19:22

I can change a tyre, but why bother when someone else will do it for me, I can and do check all the fluid levels and top up if ness, I can and have changed light bulbs..
I consider myself a good driver (used to be a long distance courier) but Oh is just as good...
Oh and I can parallel park in a car as well as a van, I've been in an accident twice both times hit by a MAN..

Eldrick I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. xx

I had to swerve to avoid an ant the other day, but my control was miraculous :O)P

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 13 Jun 2008 19:20

And when I take my 4 x 4 out all these women going dead slow along the road, obviously just driving carefully to avoid rabbits and foxes and things that run out.......it is to be applauded

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 13 Jun 2008 19:19

I mean, someone mentioned the other day that all these women doing school runs park on the zig zags outside the school and cram 15 kids into one chelsea tractor, but I don't believe that for one moment, I think it's typical stereotyping.

Staffs Col Report 13 Jun 2008 19:10

Eldrick...when OH was learning to drive some 15 years ago instructor asked her
''what can you see in your mirrors''
''daffodills on the grass verge'' she responded brightly
''I was thinking of the large red machine with blue flashing lights which is behind us'' was his tight lipped response

she still doesnt see anything strange in what she said

FUZZY BEAR

FUZZY BEAR Report 13 Jun 2008 19:09

completey untrue i can do all of that apart from the applying the lippy bit lol

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 13 Jun 2008 19:08

I personally think women are absolutely fantastic drivers, and I can't understand for the life of me why anyone should think any different.

Can anyone tell me why there is this myth that women can't do things like parallel park or drive in a straight line when applying lippy? Or change a wheel or put oil in the engine and things like that, which are probably blatantly untrue.

Just curious, thats all.
