As an aside, support for Outlook Express is being withdrawn and after June it will no longer work with certain ISP's, including MSN mail and Hotmail.

You will need to install Window Live Mail instead.

Thanks Carol and Angie
Problem now overcome.
It was caused by too many large mails with attachments coming through.
Thanks for taking the time to get involved.

PomPom Report 13 Jun 2008 22:07

Yes I have clicked on send/receive, that's how I know there are 19 emails to come through

I had this when server went down ... if you left click on bottom left hand corner of your screen (where it is telling you how many emails you have) should get a box come up explaining errors.

Oh dear.

PomPom Report 13 Jun 2008 21:32

Good evening everyone
Is there someone here that can help me.
I am trying to retrieve my emails (there are 19) and each time I try I get to number 5 and then Outlook tell me that there are errors and shuts down.
I have been trying everything I can think of since 4pm.
Can anyone help me, please, I am tearing my hair out.
Thanks in anticipation
