What is your opinion on those honoured --a mixed bag --Des O`Connor , Paul O`Grady , a boxer , women who makes kilts , women who`s policeman husband was killed etc

Try to bear in mind that that likes of Des O Connor, Paul O'Grady, Victoria Wood etc are being recognised for the charity work, and not their showbiz efforts. All three of them devote a lot of time to charity.

I think you will find its not for their charity work

Desmond Bernard O'connor for services to entertainment & broadcasting

Miss Victoria Wood for services to entertainment

Des always looks as though he need a good sleep most of the time.

He hasn't been on our planet for several years, as far as I remember, so I'm struggling a bit to remember what charity work he's done recently.
