My Dad died in February, but we have many happy memories of him, he was a lovely dad

I have lost my dear Dad too.

It's just over 6 years but miss him lots.

He was a 'new man' for his time and like someone else said on this thread, could, and would, do anything in the home. Cook, clean, iron etc. My Mum, and us, were so fortunate to have had him...and we knew it.

My Dad died 4 years ago this year too..............I miss him still and always will, but have so many lovely memories of him.

No matter how many years, their loss is still felt.
The times one would like to be able to share some special thoughts or news...............

Thinking of all whose loss is recent too, and the pain so raw.

this will be my first fathers day without my dad too. He died in April and I'm still struggling with the fact that I'll never see him again.

Amanda, they were the last words I said to my Dad too.

Uzzi, I still haven't got used to his Sunday mornign phone calls and his voice always said ' Howdo!' If the phone rings on a Sunday, I still half expect to hear that.

Like TW it's a double whammy for me as today would have been his birthday. It will be 2years in less than a month that he passed on and I still forget sometimes that he isn't here.

It will be four years in October since my Dad passed away suddenly...........I am forever thankful that the last words I said to him were " Love you Dad ".

lynn I fully understand. It's three years since my Dad died, and tomorrow would have been his birthday too. Double whammy here.
