yes it does say that

no I don't really want to try manually Errol, I might leave it and see if I can get a new one soon.

If you have access to another computer try the drive in that machine and see if it makes any difference.

I don't have another computer here but I could ask a friend to bring their's over in the week and try that. Thanks Errol.

ok if it isn't too much give that a try and then at least we know whether the drive is up the creek or not.
Incidentally, did it give you the option to rollback the driver?

I wonder if you could run a piece of software for me which may do the trick or at least help us a little.
