Member Since: April 2005 Posts: 7,504 Send Message	You now need to open up Device Manager: Go to Start > Control Panel Make sure you are in Classic View (it will tell you in the top left corner and you can click there to toggle between the modes). Once in Control Panel, double click on the System icon. Click on the Hardware tab. Click on the Device Manager button. Tell me when you have got to this part.

Member Since: April 2005 Posts: 7,504 Send Message	Go to: Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Click on "Create a restore point". Click Next. Type a name in the box for this restore point (perhaps as suggested above). Click Create.

	can't find where I do that.....I am on medication that makes me forget ..sorry, where do I set that point

Unfortunately I usually prefer it if other people don't make suggestions when I am trying to talk someone through a solution because it can cause confusion and even cause PC problems sometimes. It's not because I am being rude, it just makes it easier for the person I am talking through.

	yes but that means I will loose a lot of genealogy work done recently
