Why do senior managers try and use PA's to blame for the errors they've made?

One of our Finance guys has blatantly lied and blamed me for him quoting the wrong figures!! Cheeky sod obviously didn't realise that i don't take responsibility for other people's errors no matter how senior they are!!

I AM LIVID!!

As a secretary there is one word that gets my back up when I see it or hear it being dictated and that is *typographical error*. I never ever type it!

It may be a typing error when I have done it but when I have passed on said document with it in and it should be checked before being sent out, then it is a clerical error for not spotting it and bringing it back for correction.

Bloddy cheek of the man!
