Mature volunteers overseas - have you done it?

Following on from Fred's posting re doing some vollie work overseas, I started looking at the opportunities for us older people. Some of the sites seem to be a bit of a con, you pay a couple of thousands for them to give you 2 weeks in a very basic holiday situation, the volunteering seems to be a by product - others seem genuine volunteering but I wondered has anyone of mature years done this? |
