Twas Shimmer's birthday yesterday
The day that she was was born
Twas in the early hours
Of a Monday morn.

A silly act
A selfish deed
She always wished
She could pay no heed
To the fact
That she was not registered for 41/2 years.

Years of tears
Oceans wept
Her mother's name
Swept
Under the carpet
She was invisible.

Then Shimmer found 'here',
A welcome mat
Family near
A tissue handed to dry a tear
Hugs, kind words to say that she was, is loved,
She gives thanks to him above,
For allowing her heart to be filled with love.
She is visible now.

Yesterday twas her birthday
Who would celebrate the day that she was born?
She arose, home alone, got out of bed
Switched this on, found several threads
All wishing her .................
Shimmer ....................
A happy birthday
She did exist
It went on
Day and night
A party .........
Then the Ritz ..........
Such good fun .......
Love and hugs from everyone!

She smiles
A deep, contented smile ..........
Punches the air towards the ceiling
Says "YES!"
For Shimmer knows that she is healing.

Shimmer thanks each and everyone of you from the bottom of her heart for such loving messages, for caring about Shimmer.

Actions speak louder than words.

Thank you everyone, she will put this day in her box of memories.
