Oh, Mary, I am sorry to hear about your accident.
Since I broke my toe I do try to be extra careful where I put my feet, but I tend to go around the house without much on my feet, too.
How long after you broke the first toe did you wait until it was reset? Were you having trouble with it?
Mine at the moment is trouble-free (touch wood!) but I have wondered if it might have to be re-set sometime.
Not something I would look forward to, I have to say.

Hi Jo, the first toe was broken in 1958 and repaired in in81 after developing a huge hammer toe it was bent up so high that all my shoes rubbed on it, much better afterwards, now it's mighty sore again but a different joint this time. The 2 broken ones are about double the size of the others.
I've had 2 surgeries on the base of the big toe. which was absolutely rigid from arthyritis. The joine was removed the first time (on both big toes. The left one did fine, the right just developed more calcium build-up. 2 years ago the joint was replaced with a silastic implant. I still get pain in it, still have arthritis issues around the new joint. have to face it, I am aging, at least I am starting at the bottom!!
Good luck with your healing.
off to work now,
Mary

Oh heck Mary, you must be struggling with two bust toes! You be careful.
I rarely walk round barefoot here as o.h. is careless with pins, and staples etc.
