Yes 'fraid so but ask them to redo vents so wasps can't come back, they should do that.Good Luck!

The local councils will do repairs and maintenance work on their properties, but wasps nests are not covered in the rental agreement.

It will be money well spent though...............I would hate to have a nest in the house.

its not in the house as the vents are blocked from the inside. on the outside there is 6 tiny slits in the wall and the buggers have found there way in so really they are in the building.

I am a tennant in a housing association which used to be run by the council. On a few occasions I have had ants and one time mice I called them up and they sent out their pest control. I didn't have anything to pay for it either. Try asking if they have their own pest control to come and sort it out.

I suppose each area is different.

Mind you if it was in my walls you wouldn't see me for dust and I would pay more than £42 to get them removed - am totally terrified of wasps

it`s not the money.. it`s the fact that i live in a council house

Think all councils are different, some do the bare minimum others are more flexible. we live in private property but they still come out to deal with wasps and things after all council or private we all pay council tax!
