Hi Angela
Only just seen your note

Just to let you know , yes i do have the" tag" of Westbury on my board name, i did live there as a boy many years ago with my Grandparents actually on Westbury Leigh the same as Tina mentioned i have always had great memories of my time there albeit only for five years 1940/5, if i could i would have lived there.Happy memories for me
Cant really say how it is now i have only been back three times in all the years since, mainly for funerals and Weddings
I do have quite a few of my relatives there, and in fact i am going back in August yes to a wedding of my Cousins daughter.
Im sorry i cant be of much more help, but if it was me i would go.

Tina

Somerset (and Dorset) will also be considered. We are just too far from our grandchildren where we are now :-(

It's just that Westbury seems to be very reasonably priced in comparison to other places in the general area.

I wasn't sure if it was the same Westbury that George lived in, I had noticed the name :-)

Mandy

We will be visiting the area next weekend, so will think of any questions I might ask you :-). We are actually only half an hour from the coast here, so can just pop there for an hour or two on a sunny afternoon!

Shirley

Thanks for your reply. I will look forward to checking the area out next weekend.

Hi Angela

We can actually get to Poole in just under an hour and a half, so you can still have day trips to the seaside!

I'm on the very outskirts of Trowbridge, in an expanding village. Feel free to ask any questions.

Mandy :)

Thanks Peter. I must admit that, when we lived just within the southern boundaries of the M25, when we drove to the West Country, as soon as we hit the A303, we felt at peace!

Lovely area.

My company relocated to Trowbridge in the early 1990's and we moved to Chippenham. Melksham was halfway between home and work.

Sadly the business closed down five years later and we were forceably relocated yet again, this time to Cambridgeshire. Must say, not a patch on Wiltshire.

Awdrey

Thank you for your reply.

It certainly seems to fit the bill, apart from the fact that OH would like to live close enough to the coast to visit for an hour or two, which is what we can do now.

Compromises have to be made!

We are thinking of relocating to this area, as property seems to be reasonably priced.

Does anyone live in or near/have knowledge of the area?
