Having just been battered all the way down the M6 and M5 I can certify that 'they' were correct. It was quite unpleasant and most unlike June. I felt sorry for those towing caravans as they were haveing to go really slowly.
and my garden is getting battered here, already one tomato has broken off.

Hi folks here in Glasgow it was very very windy last night but that has now calmed down, it has probably moved south. It has rained sinced 4pm yesterday, but has been fairly bright for about an hour now.

Just had to save the Gazeebo(wooden frame all pegged into ground)It just took off.Now we have taken off the canvas canopy it seems safe.(hopefully)

Well I think we can blame the sundancers thread from last night - they were doing it wrong lol

Had thunder and lightning here in Bristol last night so had to switch puter off. Today is extremely blustery indeed.

If the weatherman has said it is to improve later on then he is lying, cos it always rains when Wimbledon is on - well 9 times out of 10 lol.

Swirly and blustery here at the mo. Lancashire
Throughout the day my conker tree has lost 5 boughs and the pots of flowers have blown about. There's also a whistling sound in the conservatory.........I hope the roof isn't going to blow off.

been lovely here today, went for a walk about 10am for over an hour, next to the bird sanctuary by the canal, it's been breezy but not cold.
