Gillian, our local Somerfield just across the road, often have cheap chickens lol, at the end of the day they reduce the cooked ones to half price so it would be silly not to get them and use for a meal or for o.h.'s pack up!
Not laziness, just common sense sometimes when time or money is short.
Did you know it is quite safe to strip the meat from the carcase of the ready cooked ones, and freeze it for sarnies or cooking later. Defrost and use in a chicken supreme or what ever. I was told this by the woman who serves on the cooked chicken counter, so often get a reduced one and use it like that. Handy to have it ready for use when in a rush or you have forgotten to get something in (or when someone else has pinched your chicken at the check out lol)

I picture them with yorkies, veg, roast pots. stuffing and chicken gravy-had our chicken for dinner, hubby has chicken sandwiches for work and still more for me for work, will be sick of chicken.

When I got home I had two, somebody must have left theirs and I got it....wonder what they had for dinner...roast chicken dinner without the chicken??????

Been to Asda and got a cooked chicken, (lazy I know) but......with the rest of my weeks shopping......
