was not an " Ordinary" a type of early Bicycle?

Logic therefore suggests that an Extra ordinary was a Tricycle.....

for sunburn cold black tea, almost any itch tea tree in water or moisture cream, even non perfumed baby oil pat the cold tea on sunburn let dry in

Joanna Report 24 Jun 2008 19:43

Try sour milk for sunburn.
Put a few drops of vinegar into a cup of cold milk to sour it - if you don't have any that has turned naturally.
Pat it on and leave as long as possible.
Living abroad in the '50/60s we used this a lot. No special aftersun stuff then.
Oh those pioneering days ....!

A SURE cure that I have found for deep itch,
Is... MENTHOL RUB.....I think any kind will do, I buy something called ' Ice Cold' it's an analgesic gel rub .very cheap for a big jar........Rinse off with water, Rub the gel on. the itch dissapears in minutes....I tried all kinds of expensive prescriptions and over the counter medications. I found this by accident in desperation. Then I heard a doctor on telly saying the menthol calms the nerve endings that cause the itch. ( that was here in California. I buy it at the $1. Store)

Hope this helps someone.

I have replied to 2 of these privately. Bicarbonate of soda is used for all sorts of things.

Granny Report 24 Jun 2008 22:01

Keep you requests coming, I will see what there is in the book. I have got to make use of it somehow.

Anything for boiling hot soles of the feet?

CrystalTips Report 24 Jun 2008 23:53

I'll vouch for whatever comes up in the bicarb section - hair, fridge, cleaning....

hair so much healthier when not using shampoo

Joanna Report 24 Jun 2008 23:57

I have just found a new product (well, to me anyway) - bicarb. wipes in a packet.
Brilliant. Just started doing the fridge with them.
