Eileen, and Ros, I too hate whirlies, much prefer to see a long line of washing billowing in the wind lol |

Ros, I couldn't help laughing at your description of the "scrunched up" underwear.I have to agree with your oh, I have one of those whirlie things, hate it.A nice couple of long lines seem to make the washing dry faster, and less wrinkled.Fine by me, because I HATE ironing. |

I had tissue in wash the other day -all over dark t- shirts . When my OH puts washing out -doesn`t shake underwear out so it`s on the line all scrunched up -I tell him it`s clean !! Towels are hung longways so take up more space . He put a line up for them as says whirlie no use for drying , |

Hi hon, thanks for the tip about the tshirts, I know exactly what you mean as I have done that with some of mine sometimes, but his work t shirts don't have side seams so I pull them to shape and hang from the corners, he doesn't even iron them now as they come out pretty ok. We have some of those plastic hangers that have six hangers on a sort of plastic chain and we hang them from the curtain rail in front of the blind in the spare bedroom so they don't show much and they finish off in there. With all the rain we get it's the only way sometimes, and they hang straight enough to do. He has two choices lol, wear them like that or iron them! |

Liz, I used to do the same with the washing one of my daughters hung out.Hoped to do it discreetly, but she noticed alright, so was not a happy bunny. |

He popped in yesterday.I was still amazed and amused at the speed at which he gulps down a scalding mug of tea.He must have a throat made of asbest! |

At least your OH used two pegs for his, and only one for your knickers, Tina, but can you imagine what it looked like to have a full machine of heavy clothes all hung up on 4 pegs? I made a photo of this to prove to our families that he actually did this.It did make me laugh though. |

More than 40 years ago, my ex hung the washing out once, and once only.He used 4 pegs for the whole lot. This is true!!! I couldn't believe my eyes to see the 4 'bunches' of clothes. Needless to say, they didn't dry.Maybe this was a clever ploy to get out of having to do this ever again? |

Dawnie loved your comment about hanging it right. Why don't men hang the washing right? |
