That's so unkind Ros.

No matter what differences there have been, I feel such an announcement should acknowledge her parents not partners.

Hurtful for your friend Ros.
You should have heard my bro at his step daughter's wedding, made me want the sick bucket, and yet when his son was born, the girl was pushed out to the extent that as soon as she was able, she moved out. He made it sound as tho he was Father of the Year lol
Her Dad wasn't at the wedding or the Christening of her baby girl a year later and it was my bro who gave her away.
Bet the Dad was handy when they wanted to get maintenance from him, when she went to live with her mother. Will they come after him to help pay for the wedding?

but her mother put her partner`s name on annoucement --ie daughter of mother and him , not my friend as father. Was speaking to friends 2nd wife tonight and she told me .What a slap in the face for him as mother left the kids with him to go off with her partner years ago and he brought them up , then daughter went to stay with her Mum. It was actually mother who was my original friend -not now ,
