Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks everyone!

I have a real pain in the but right now as the sciatic nerve is still pinched. Drugs help lots :))

At last one problem down two to go!

From leaning I have pinched the nerves in my elbow.
My little finger and ring finger on my right hand are numb. This I can handle, but, I am having problems with my index and middle finger, I can't seperate them :(
Physio checked them out and I have no strength in either finger. I'm going to my GP on Wednesday, so I'll ask what the plan of action is.

Of course, me being me and getting "cabin fever" I have booked us to go to Vegas in three weeks. I already know that I'm going to rent a disability scooter when I'm there. The strip is sooo long and there is no way I'll be able to walk it. Physio doc agrees with me on this one.

Thanks again for the good wishes.

Deb

Good news :)))

I have just come back from physio and...............after 64 days my pelvis has shifted back to it's normal position!! The physiotherapist said that it was an inch out.
I'm still in a lot of pain but can walk normal (kind of)

I slept from 8am - 5pm, and 8pm - 1am lol. The meds make me sleep.

I have to say that I feel quite good and I'm walking "normal". My pelvis is/was complely out of place causing me to walk hunched up, but now i can walk with a straight back (almost).
The pain has almost gone.

I think that I'll give the massage therapist a big kiss when I see her on Tuesday!!

Keep those fingers crossed please.

Lol Deb...........no magic telescope............just know from personal experiance the frustration when you are in so much pain that you can't do anything that needs / you want to be doing.

Then when you feel a bit better the temptation to " go mad " is overwhelming and if your not careful you end up back at square one..........lol

I do so hope that your pain stays away.........and that you enjoy your book..........lol

Hi Amanda,
I have been having acupuncture on a regular basis, but it hasn't for some reason helped. I had the same problem last year, and I swore it was the acupunture that healed it.

Do you have a magic telescope to see into my house? lol

Tonight I peeled the spuds and boiled the eggs for potato salad tomorrow. Also did a couple of loads of laundry and dusted the family room! It's amazing what you do when you are feeling better.
I did all of this after midnight, as my days and nights are mixed up.

Friday night after the massage I was in the worst pain. I couldn't sit, stand or lay down. I managed to fall asleep at about 8am Saturday morning, and didn't get up until 5 pm.

Don't worry, I know my limitations and plan to lay out in the back yard tomorrow and start the book I bought a month ago. I haven't been able to read it before now because I couldn't concentrate because of the pain.

I hope she has cured your problem Deb.
Try not to go mad and over do things if your feeling better............one step at a time :)

I had a neck problem that used to reoccur but a Dr sorted it out with acupuncture...........I was most sceptical about it working but was pleasantly surprised and forever grateful that it worked.

You take care :)

Deb Vancouver (18665) Report 29 Jun 2008 11:22

As some of you know, I have been "laid up" for nearly two months with two herniated discs that are pinching the sciatic nerve.

On Friday I went to a new massage therapist who was wonderful. I'm going to recommend her to my doctor for him to refer other patients.

Anyway, I think that she has released the nerve with her magic hands :))

I stayed off my feet all day yesterday (It's Sunday 3am here) and the pain has subsided by about 90%.

Fingers crossed that she has "cured" the problem.
