OK, well, here is my theory, in the absence of any other.

I think the world is round - as in a globe shape.

Because when I go out of my body on one of my astral projection trips, I can see that it is round.

:-)

Even David Niven said

The Moon is a balloon

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 30 Jun 2008 15:20

Is that the David Niven - the well known astrophysicist and adviser to NASA?

Or the one who played the loveable cad in many humorous films? Or was that Terry Thomas....?

So many questions, so few answers......

It was the title of David Niven...........the actors.......autobiography.

I've got a copy if you want to read it:))

Ah

Well done Kitty

Eldrick Report 30 Jun 2008 17:17

Well done, Kitty! Excellent.

So David Niven (the thespian) was a believer in the flat earth theory, eh!

Fascinating! Especially after his role in 'Round the World in 80 Days' - one would have thought he would have seen the curvature of the earth, what!

Thank you Eldrick:))))))

The balloon might have been any shape though..........round, sausage shape or even one of those with rabbit ears on:))

I read that one Kitty, funny with his goings on with Errol Flynn as well, and the sad death of his first wife......I liked the sequel too......Bring on the Empty Horses....

......what colour was the balloon...?

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 30 Jun 2008 17:26

Don’t pretend to know the unknowable. What you don’t know, you don’t know. Clear?

But is the Earth round or flat ?

♥ Kitty the Rubbish Cook ♥

♥ Kitty the Rubbish Cook ♥ Report 30 Jun 2008 17:35

Is it hollow in the middle...........or filled with caramel or something.

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 30 Jun 2008 17:37

Its a globe - which is different to being round - as it could still be flat, but round - as a pancake may be round, but flat....if you get my drift etc.

On the other hand, spherically speaking, if it is a globe, then it can't be flat. Except in parts, like when a tyre is flat - but only at the bottom. And the sides. But it is still round. You see where I'm coming from here?

But a tyre isnt a globe, so that puts a dent in that theory....hmmm.....

Isnt science great!
