Well.... you get two circles of cardboard, and cut a circle in the middle.... then you wind the wool around and around... and then you cut at the outer edge... then you wrap a piece of wool around the middle to stop all the bits falling... and tie it in a tight knot... and then you have a bobble!

Don't know how to knit a hat though, sorry!
