I started work in 1952 as an office junior/filing clerk was earning the princely sum of 12shillings and sixpence a week.. When i was saving up to get married in 1957 was still only earning £5. 10 shillings When we bought our house in 1967 ,a new build and we are still living in it .!! we paid £4150 for it |
