having trouble with tin openers these days. Used to be able to open tins without problems but lately I've tried three different types of tin opener and just can't get anywhere with them. |

Some of them are worse than useless and I absolutely hate the ones that open tins round the top of the sides rather than inside the rim. |

If you Google search there are some online comments about which ones people have found suitable. |

Although we have one, I agree the battery operated ones are lethal. |

I've got the OneTouch one, too - they are brilliant. I have always had trouble with tin openers because when I was born I was starved of oxygen and so don't have full use of my left hand. (It's like my brain sends the message but it doesn't get there.) |

You've pre empted me, I was just about to ask if it was the One touch opener as I've just seen it in the Argos catalogue. |

I have success with electric openers, but OH cant stand them. He uses the one which cuts the top off around the side. Jean |

I still prefer the old fashioned ones with a sort of butterfly key on the top to turn it round. They are so cheap and as some have said, don't leave that dangerously sharp edge at the top. |
