Many body parts names are ancient Latin words . Here`s a few
PELVIS -- A BOWL IN DAY TO DAY ANCIENT ROME
FIBULA--A ROMAN STRENGTHENING BRACE
SPINE --SPINA A BRAMBLE WITH THORNS STICKING OUT OF IT
LENS --A LENTIL COS OF IT`S SHAPE
ANUS --A RING OF MUSCLE
HEART`S ATRIUM -WAS A HALLWAY SO WE REMEMBER BLOOD ENTERS
VALVES -OPEN AND CLOSE LIKE ROMAN FOLDING DOORS -VALVAE
COCCYX-- ORIGINALLY MEANT A CUCKOO-DUE TO SIMILARITY TO CUCKOO`S BILL
