might I suggest that when you discard your old PC, have the hard drive taken out!

too much information going who knows where.........!! also a bit of insurance if you lose some of your info....

Kitty thank you so I can use the my old AOL disc to install the internet I will be really apprehensive about doing it all and really hope I do not lose anything.

You will connect it to the monitor and keyboard etc as per instructions that come with it.

You need to transfer infromation you have stored from the old one to the new using the installation discs you had when you bought the hardware.............e.g. printer, mouse etc.

The software programmes like internet again can be installed on your new one using the disc that came from your ISP or with any other programmes e.g. kodak or family tree maker.

Photographs and trees can then be transfered via disc from the old to the new pc.

Hi this computer I am using at the moment is clapped out and I am getting a new one has anyone got any tips how i install a new one really do not know anything about computers thank you
