hiya all
my son was awarded the Student of the Year award and i`m soo bloody proud of him.. we have had a lot of trouble with him and he goes to a PRU school but feel so chuffed.. i also found out he is a brilliant water colour painter.. his teacher showed me his paintings and i was gobsmacked, you`d think a proper artist had done them but NO it was my bairn who`d painted them... sos to go on but i feel so happy for him..

Sharon,

I am delighted for you and your lad!! My daughter went to the PRU for quite a while, I know how painful it is when things go wrong in main stream school, I really do,

Well done your boy!! All they need is to find what they are good at!!!

i just wish he would behave himself and sort himself out.. i know he`s only 13 and has a very quick temper, but it`s caused so much trouble at home but trying to forget it as he`s been fine for a while now!!!

Sharon give your lad a hug from me and tell him well done, that is an achievment not many youngsters get these days.

Give him time and things will work out, I've seen it happen believe me on more than one occasion.

Does he have a hobby or anything he likes doing other than artistic work? Perhaps something he can put all his physical effort into ie kick boxing etc?

You are so right to be proud of him... I know I would be.

Well done to you just for being there for him.
