I have had a small one with purple hair floating about the house for years, it belonged to my daughter who left home at 19.......she is 36 now, and blow me down, I can't find it now.........may be its in the grandchildren's toybox.....

I used to have them - and used to buy the clothes.

It was quite funny as we lived in Mevagissey. I used to go to a shop near the harbour, this was in about August/September, we'd just moved there. I was charged 2/11d for an outfit.
Come October, when the holiday season had ended, I went to buy another outfit and the lady said 'Do ee live 'ere then?' I said I did 'Oh then yo'me be a local' and after that she only charged me 2/6d!! LOL

I have 2 boxes of them in the attic, of various sizes.
I loved them so much I bought them for my youngest - whether she wanted them or not!!!

Gonks to me were like 'Humpty' from 'Playschool'.
Trolls were cute but ugly plastic things with lots of hair!! Oh and big feet!!

I was buying my Trolls over 42 years ago,

Yvonne

Yes I remember them as plastic things with coloured hair too but a lot of people called them Gonks as well as Trolls. Maybe it depends on which area you lived
