He is actually displaying his findings including parish records certs etc can't remember where but he does seem to have a lot of proof to back it up

Anybody subscribe to Ancestry, on the Public Family Tree site, is one Royalty, and it is very interesting. Has Phillip Mountbatten on it, but the Queen is down as Living Relative.

I think there was a programme on TV. That said that most people if they wished could probably trace their ancestry back to Attilla The Hun or beyond that,to Christ himself,depending on how you interpret your findings and who you include.Me, I got back to "Vlad The Impaler" and decided it was a waste of time,Mind,I would,nt mind throwing a few people over the Ramparts and Impaling them.**M**.:o))))>.

Personally I don't believe a word of it. After 20 years of hard slog I am still paddling around at the beginning of the 19th century, but there again I don't speculate and that makes progress very slow, especially when you've been researching the 'parallel' family instead of your own!

Mind you, I do have a genealogy I got off the internet that goes back to William the Conqueror and if I can get someone to admit that it was the son of the house that knocked up OH's gt gt grandma in heaven knows when, then I can join that together with OH's tree...

Don't like to knock another researcher but sorry, I don't see how this man's tree can be valid.

I just had a look at his website and found he was talking about the area I live in...lol

Good luck to him and well done though I doubt it's the biggest tree. My brother in law has a tree with more on it but it's Scottish and has been well documented since very early on.

I'd be very sceptical about someone claiming King Alfred as a definite ancestor. I can't see there being great records that far back.

That's nothing. I was allowed access to someones tree on here, and he had 38,000 rellys in it, including my family, and I still can't work out where they fit in.

Well done to him then.............he must be a fountain of knowledge re look-ups and things.

I wonder where he stores all the paperwork to back up his information.

A pensioner believes he has traced the world`s biggest family tree..tracing..9,390..relatives..including 3 kings!

I will add it took him 28 yrs!...The ancestors he uncovered..being Alfred the Great..A must read!...
very apt for GR..and inspirational..
what makes it more amazing is fact he was an orphan...so there is hope for us all yet!!..lol....~~
