Has anyone had emails from United Parcel Service (so it says?) about a parcel they can't deliver because the address was wrong? It gives an attachment which is supposed to be an invoice which I need to collect the parcel myself.

I'm very suspicious because I'm not expecting a parcel, and they have sent me the email 3 times.

Anyone else had one?

Its a scam Just delete the emails and block the sender

Had a feeling it was a scam Shirley, thanks.

Have just typed the tracking number into their website and it didn't recognise it.

Thanks La Gooner, the email doesn't give a phone number and I'm a bit reluctant to click on the attachment

Thing is if you havent ordered anything or know someone is sending you a parcel then treat it with suspicion,if its genuine they will try and deliver it anyway without saying they tried and you weren't at home

Thanks Janet, will do the same. If it's genuine they will get in touch again.

Rita, I remember that one, but mine is suppose to be from UPS which is a genuine delivery company.

Maggie.........I just got an e-mail from United parcel Service. I just deleted as I didn't like the look of it.

I had one of these tonight as well. Thought at first it my be to do with my son (he sells stuff on ebay) but then realised we don't use UPS so I deleted without opening the attachment

Seems like thats the latest one doing the rounds then.

Have deleted mine too, just wanted to make sure my other half hadn't ordered anything first!

Yep, just had one and immediately deleted because the e mail address it was supposed to be sent to was not even my name, just a very similar one.

Hotmail now have an option for reporting these things under the heading 'phishing scam' in the junk mail folder.

Got another one this morning. AVG says it is checked and is virus free. Couldn't find anything on Snopes about it though which is strange. Only one for UPS referring to Israel.
