There is a massive market for fake goods and cigarettes in Naples and it's all run or controlled by the mafia.

I also remember the un licenced market traders in London ..they always had a lookout who watched for the police. Come to think of it Delboy was one of them lol

Hi Belair, I have known these facts for a long long time, and in particular regarding the funding of terrorism from sales of counterfeit goods.

I refuse to buy goods from market stalls, always buy *proper* videos, never knock down ciggies either when I was a smoker myself or for my hubby... not that he would, as he is even more vehement than me.

I believe that everyone involved, including the purchaser, should be prosecuted when caught.

Purchasing these goods contributes to human misery, enslavement and murder.

Love

Holding a cup of Fairtrade coffee in one hand and a designer purse in the other, a woman approached the dealer in a bustling London street last week and opened negotiations. After a quick examination of the goods, she passed him a handful of notes and the transaction was done. She slipped the package into her pocket and disappeared into the crowd.

Yet this elegant woman was not trying to 'score' marijuana, cocaine or ecstasy - the illegal goods once most commonly sold on our streets. Instead, she had just bought the latest fake designer sunglasses from a market stall.
anyone who buys a fake Prada bag or knock- off Gucci sunglasses is the final link in a chain that includes criminals involved in extortion, prostitution, people-smuggling, murder and even terrorism.

Yet despite the endeavours of the the UK's Serious Organised Crime Agency, who have made investigations into counterfeiting a top priority, it would seem that business is booming for the crime gangs.

The market in counterfeit goods has now become the biggest illicit sector in the world, eclipsing the drugs trade.

Fake clothes, handbags, watches, perfumes, videos, CDs and computer programmes - you name it, criminals will copy it. And these goods now represent an astonishing one-tenth of all global trade.

Tiffany loses legal fight against eBay over counterfeit goods.

What do you think about Ebay selling Fake goods! I have seen lots of items ie Lacoste,Ralph Lauren, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo ect, ect, fake shoes being sold at almost the same price as genuine items.
Do you think that people who buy counterfeits are supporting a very ugly and inhumane industry!. and that ithurts not only the luxury designers, but the poorly treated workers and transporters of these goods. Or do you think it's OK to buy Fakes!
