....... a few months ago I typed the name of my dad's old house into google. It brought up the name of the man who lives there, and looks like he runs a business from there. I decided last week to email him and tonight he's sent me some lovely photos. Just wish that I'd contacted him while my dad was still here. |

I went into our local research library to find out who lived in our house, 1901 -he was a Wholesale Wine and Spirit Merchant and my hubby used to work in the whisky trade--spooky |

Strange thing is, the man who lives there now used to live in the same town as me and his parents still live here. But we live 23 miles away from dad's old house!! |

My house was built in 1890. I know the names of two people who lived there most recently, ie. just before me moving in, Sept 1987. |

Maybe a good title for a thread Maggie.....About really old houses and their owners...... Can't think of a good heading at the mo......will leave it to you.......It is really interesting researching ones house owners....well.... mine anyway......Maybe I will tell what I have discovered....who knows :-))))) |
