I worked at centre parcs in penrith.. Ensure that you book a premier lodge as the cleaners work flat out on minimum wage and are basically slaves..Some lodges are ok but they really must make an effort to give the cleaners more time if they want to maintain clean lodges.. check under beds for dust , its a giveaway.

Jen the Invisible - didn't mean to hijack your thread, but thought I would ask the questions, and the answers might help, not only yourself, but someone else aswell. I'm glad you put it up. My OH can't get me to go anywhere, but after an expected spell in hospital (removal of gall stones), I thought this place would be ideal for us to have a break in the autumn,as the Sherwood Forest site if practically on the doorstep, and to repay OH for all his 'nursing' both in the recent past, and that to come.
Best Regards

Take your own food rather than buy from their supermarkets as it can be quite expensive. If you want to eat at night then there are plenty of restaurants as previously said. Enjoy x

So - don't want to appear thick here, but is it all self catering in your little 'villa', or is there catering outlets open all day and into the night. Are they posh, how will I dress.

Were you there Glynis then, when Jan damaged her nose on the curly slide thing, and Sally (another one) fainted.....

In the swimming pool area we passed sunbeds.......and when in the chalets it was lovely to look out on the forest, and the squirrells coming up to the patio doors.....

Hi Jen I've been to the one in Sherwood Forest a coupler of times. I'd say definitely go.

If you swim it's brilliant - if you do any other sports there's everythimg there (was a bowling green when I went so not all really hectic stuff.

To be honest even if you don't want to do any sports I'd still recommend it -

one of the lovely things is that you drive in, get your keys, unpack your car into your little villa, and then take the car pack to the car park and don't use it again for a week. The fact that everyone is either walking or cycling makes for a very easy laid back pace and it's really relaxing just for that fact. (I think you can keep your car if you need it and you've got a disabled badge)

Go and have a brilliant time.

Lots of love,

Maria x
