I looked it up....................but I don't think my brain is clever enough to decipher it.

I do know that we were promised a referendum after hearing both for and against arguments...............that hasn't happened and I don't appreciate being lied to by people who are supposed to be working in our best interests.

As far as I am concerned, the biggest problem with this is that we , the general public, haven't got a clue what Heathcliff Brown has signed up to.

Can someone somewhere tell us in simple terms what it all means?

Then, perhaps, we can all form a considered view.

And why does the board fill up with bloomin' game threads every time a slightly serious thread appears?

*takes deep calming breaths*

Have we got parliament anymore?

Does anyone else apart from the Prime Minister and a few Government Ministers have any say in our democracy?

What more can that man do to bring this country to its knees?

I am now praying that Ireland stick to their guns and say no again......


Plus... I do so hope that some legal boffin will challenge Mr Brown's right to sign us away without putting it to referendum, as was promised in the manifesto (I think!!)

But if this goes through, we can virtually kiss goodbye many of the things which are uniquely British...... quirky laws and stuff like that.

And of course, the Human Rights Act in all it's entirety and it's emphasis on protecting the rights of the thug over the rights of the victim...

The sad thing is that even if we HAD got the vote we'd be made to vote again if they didn't get the result THEY wanted.

Just re read that and it doesn't sound like what I meant to say - I am furious alongside you!!!

Or at least, the Lisbon agreement was ratified, as I mentioned on a thread yesterday, effectively giving away Britain's sovereignty.

And there has been NO referendum.

Or did I blink and miss it?
