Funny you should say that Kim. I took my mum shopping today and found it was a strange case of role-reversal. I felt like she was the child and I was her mum!!

She was a really bad influence though and I spent far too much money!!

P.S. I also have to ring my mum when I get home and make her do the same!

I used to do that with my Mum also but she used to pick the phone up after 1 ring, then on the phone for ages! lol

M from WY

I remember those days, but my Mum would go in a shop and buy me something then tell me I owe her!! lol

Reminds me of my mum Kim. She bought me my lunch today, then complained how expensive it was! Still wouldn't let me pay though!

I know exactly what you mean Kim.

My Mum and Dad went away for 5 days and rang me twice a day. Once to make sure we were all ok ........20 questions about what the kids did at school what they were having for dinner !!! and the other time to check I'd remembered to visit their cat and that their Dog I was looking after was not pining FGS.

I'm 38 and have kept dogs and cats all my life why they think I'd neglect theirs I have absolutely no idea lol

They don't phone me everyday when they're home!!! lol xx

Like you Karen, my mum thinks I'm 8 years old!! My (elder) sister didn't believe me until we went to stay with her. They were preparing for a party and I volunteered to set the chairs out. I was up early, was having the first of my 2 morning cups of tea when mum told me to 'hurry up and do as I was told'!!! I couldn't look at my sister, out of the corner of my eye I could see her about to burst out laughing!!
Well... I had offered and as it was 8am and the party wasn't until 7pm I thought I had plenty of time.
Silly me!!!

Being a grandmother didn't make me feel any older either!!!

I'm the only one out of 4 who 'gets it' !!

Mind you, I have been told off for holding out my hand for my eldest (27) to hold when we cross the road!! LOL

I fluffed it off by saying I wanted her to see me across safely!! Don't think she believed me though.
