Nearly forgot to share..... went to have a 'chat' with Daddy yesterday and got a chap to help me remove a SLUG that was humungous and then he said he hoped I didn't mind but his sister had put slug pellets on Daddy's garden as they were everywhere!!

How nice was that!!???

;O)

That was really nice wasn't it, the only shame is that we're gobsmacked nowadays when people do something nice without expecting anything back

I came home from work tonight. Ten minutes later a knock at the door, this young lad said he'd come to trim my hedge for me!!
He's the boyfriend of Charlotte, a single mum who lives next door but two. Charlotte had seen me hacking down my forsythia hedge a few weeks ago and offered her boyfriends 'services' (he's a gardener). I'd sort of said yes, and asked how much he would want - she said 'Nothing'.
Well he's done it - a gurt great Leylandii hedge (no I didn't plant it!!) trimmed - and he cleared it all up too!!
Now I'll have to drag some Stella home tomorrow night to thank him!! (that'll be the drink not some floozey)!!

I'm not that old or helpless either - but it obviously helps to appear so!!
Mind you, I was a LSA when Charlotte was at school - and I vaguely recognise the young lad (who s definitely younger than Charlotte) LOL

I would if I could Julie Anne!!!

Got teenage lads the other side - they and their mates smoke skunk in the garden (I'm well 'chilled out' when I do a spot of gardening) LOL, - an they were horrified when I pointed out to them that I knew what they were doing !! LOL (what an old hippy knowing what we're doing????)
Their language is at times - well - rough. BUT when grand daughter is here I point this out to them the bad language stops and they go inside to smoke!!

They're lovely :o)
