"THE RAILWAY STATION"

Is a place of tears,lots are joyous some are not,
Loved ones waved off to war never ever coming back,
Waiting patiently for your loved one will you be the lucky one,
Holding hands sharing hugs with your daughter home at last,
Her time at Uni seemed so long now she,s back to your tight bond,
Think about the soldiers wife waiting for his train that never came,
Her eyes sad and full of tears, watching others in long embrace
Leaving the platform holding her childs hand,with no Daddy how can I make them understand.
So next time you stand on the long platform,think of all who have
tread that path,only to find someone not coming back,

I used to work at our local Railway Station so saw many things there, Dave and have had many experiences at the station myself, not just when I worked there, but in the rest of my life too.
