Sally Moonchild - when I said in my previous post that I adapt them to our tastes, I also try to make it low cost, unless a special occassion, but always as much fat free/low fat as possible. I do think Ramsey has an over free hand when it comes to the butter for frying, and the addition of cream. I would certainly like to see these celdeb chefs cook for low fat/no fat/no sugar/ low salt/no salt type of people That would certainly challenge them. There are alternatives, and I am a diet controlled diabetic, now with gall stones, so follow the dietry rules.

Goodness me!!!

I LOVE all the cookery programmes, especially the competitions.

And yes, I go to work, no, I can't cook very well, no, I don't cook what I see on TV. I just find them entertaining.

YES...................ME...............

I am sick of ..cooking... house buying.... antiques shows....sports......
I do understand that there are other people out there who do like these programmes, and I have no objections to them being catered for.
The pay their TV licence.... but so do I.
And my programmes are often deleted to accommodate an extra half hour of sport and then often the big discussion after it.

Sorry, but you got me started.... ;-0)

Hiya Chris, my OH loves the Celebrity one that is on tonight and we will watch it........I wouldn't mind so much, but I am with Weightwatchers, and it doesn't help the willpower watching them cooking lovely meals.....

I ask you eh ! all them cooks :))
Caught a glimpse or two of Gordon watch his face last night ... yawn, now if I was one of his customers and heard him swearing, like he does, I'd be hotfooting out the door.

Sadly my hubby records what he can't watch, so the sky+ thingy is always full to the brim and I can't record owt :)

Ooops ~~~~~ to everyone x

I wonder if the program makers realise the cost of their ingredients for one meal is more than most of us spend for a weeks groceries??

Chris

Chris Report 23 Jul 2008 17:25

A fellow Christine helloooooo

Julia

Julia Report 23 Jul 2008 17:25

Personally Chris I like them, BUT, I do not watch them in the day, and only watch Ramsey (which finishes next week) and Marco Pierre White (which finishes tonight) at the moment.. I have picked up many recipes which I have tried, and then adapted to suit our tastes. If you take away the hype, they are very informative.
