Last year I had the Red Arrows fly over the day after my birthday from the Lowestoft Air Display and just caught them on my new camera.
I missed their first flypast today complete with vapour trails altho not coloured ones, but o.h. got a mini video of them.

Missed them again a while ago as they are so fast and just missed another interesting looking plane too, flying so close to the edge of the field at the bottom of the garden, think they are zooming in on my sparkly balloon o.h. put outside lol

The farmer is out harvesting the corn? in the field so he must have had super views as they all zoomed over him.

We had some good views over the last couple of days from our office, not just the red arrows looping the loop over Sprowston but other planes and helicopters coming in, one B17 which flew really low over us and landed at Norwich Airport!!!

Hope you're having a lovely day Liz..

I think I may be at fault Liz :)

You see I was having forty winks this afternoon when I was awoken suddenly by this temendous noise.
It was indeed the red arrows for the Meet The Navy at Portsmouth and I told them to beggar off.

Colin :):)

Colin, pmsl..

I did email them last year to say thanks for the display the day after my birthday and mentioned the field and the area so perhaps they thought they would do it again for me this year lol
We see a lot of aircraft activity as fairly close to Norwich International Airport.

Dame, thanks for the birthday song and good wishes

Thanks Teresa, had a great day.

What time was that Colin? They did the show at Lowestoft around 1.30pm and then came back over, I think some landed at Norwich.

Hi Colin, I think the ones I saw landing must have stopped to refuel at Norwich and then gone off but in a different direction hence me not seeing or even hearing them again.

No, wouldn't want to be in the planes tho I am sure the pilots are really aces.

I was on the beach at Lowestoft for it and it was fantastic!

I wanted to get up to Lowestoft to see the Vulcan but Thursday and Friday was out of the question at this time of the year.
I understand it missed Thursday because of an electrical fault but did a display about 16.10 on Friday.

Anyone see it?

East Point

East Point Report 27 Jul 2008 22:27

No, it did fly on Thursday Brian, but Fridays flight by it was a little shorter than Thursdays. It was great though.

I think that might have been the plane I saw flying close to the house but it was gone before I could get outside with my camera, was it a sort of dark khaki colour?

The Vulcan was green/brown camaflague (sp) colours and had a huge wingspan.
