Ah fireworks! In my village the fireworks start at midnight (just bangs) to celebrate the beginning of a 3 day fiesta. This is three days of non stop ear blasting music which starts at midnight and continues until 6 am in the morning. No one sleeps during the night for three days. Then just when you roll into bed at 6 you only get 3 hours sleep as for some strange reason the the village band comes round the village screeching outside your window. Then the last night of the feria all the fireworks go off again at 6 am to say that it is finished. Oh and of course there are controlled firework displays throughout the 3 days on top of that as well. I´m exhausted just thinking about it! |
