Could I ask if any of you know a good way to clean paving slabs other than using a pressure washer which last time nearly took the surface off
And No I don't fancy getting on my knees with a scubbing brush!!
Cheers

before the days of pressure washers I used to use bleach (if it was a quick clean) or Jeyes fluid if it was bad and a deck scrubber - at least you are not on hands and knees! I think in DIY stores you will see wonderful remedies for cleaning slabs but the two I have mentioned are not too dear and work

Thanks Chris - got plenty of bleach, but noy Jeyes fluid.
Take it a deck scrubber is like a scubbing brush on the end of a broom handle is it??

Thats it Jenny - memory is coming back - make up bucket of suds with washing powder - scrub, rinse and then bleach! Deck scrubber should get at any old fashioned hardware store maybe even B & Q!

Just done all mine with bleach, comes up like new,
applied the bleach, the thick sort, direct to the slabs, then used an hard bristle sweeping brush, spread it out, then left it for about 4 hrs, then washed off with water, did mine in sections.

If its "Oil" from a leaky Engine,Try "Gunk" ( Engine Cleaner ) leave overnight then wash off with a normal hosepipe,(No pressure washer ) That should do it. **M**.
