I have been perscribed Simvastatin 10mgs by G.P.,as my chlorestral reading was 6. 4, but my feet have become very swollen.My GP assured me as it was such a low doseage I would have no side effects,but I am still worried. |

hi hun we use simavastatin at work you are on very low dose i would advise you keep your legs up and also walk round to keep circulation going this will also help swelling go down if it does not improve after doing this for 1 week go back to your gp sometimes this tablet can cause water retention aswell hope this has helped kind regards kerry xx |

also they eat what they want in moderation the doctor told us pasta/rice/jacket potatoes/fruit&veg/chicken and then other things like fried food /cakes ect in moderation if you ever need any more advice please feel free to pm me xx |

Only if your high cholesterol is caused by what you eat. Mine is familial, parents must have had it - so changing my eating habits failed to bring my cholesterol down from 9.5 - it went up to 11.5!!! Now I'm on statins for life and have been for over ten years - no bad side effects fortunately, only good - latest reading was 4.5 |
