Dutch has asked me to say she is not ignoring anybody but will be off the boards for a while. She is up to her usual tricks of doing things when she's been told not to, Jan told her to leave the new mattresses for him to take upstairs, but did she listen? She got told off when he came home because not only had she taken them up, and realised how heavy they were, but decided to put them on the bed when she got back from taking the dog out. As you would expect she has pulled something and it is painful for her to sit in a chair.
I know this is long winded but I am hoping it will make her realise she has to act her age and not her shoe size. Could all her friends please back me up in asking her nicely to behave herself.

LOL, I love you really Joyce but please be careful.

Lol can understand where you are coming from Caz but to be honest I can totally understand why Dutch does what she does.
No one likes to admit that they have to stop doing stuff.............its called being bloody minded, in the nicest possible way.
So take care Dutch and hope you are better soon.

Oh dear Joyce you in trouble again !!! Hate to admit this but I do daft things I shouldn't too. Suppose one day we will realise we just cannot do things. Anyway, you should do as you are told - hope whatever you pulled will soon heal and look forward to seeing you back here. Take care

Hi all, none of us like to admit we can't do things but there are limits. Poor Joyce has already got a bad leg that makes it difficult and painful for her to walk. To struggle to pull a mattress upstairs and find it hard, then to go back and pull the other one up is Joyce all over. She has hurt herself now though, when she rang me yesterday and told me, my first though was that she could very easily have fallen down the stairs and I got concerned.
Thanks for your messages for her.

Hi Caz, thanks for putting this up - hope you aren't in too much pain today and have a decent day.

Joyce, what are we going to do with you? You won't get any surprises till you are really well, and this won't help, you naughty girl! Smacked wrist for you!
So glad you didn't fall tho, have visions of Jan coming home and finding you under the mattress with your legs out one way and your head the other side lol like a beetle on its back!
You have to do everything the doctor told you to get that leg right, and get that new injury put right whether by rest or exercise or a combination of both. And the dog will have to cross his/her legs, you can't have him/her (can't recall which sex lol) pulling you along and making the injury worse.
Take more care of yourself, Mrs Jan,
love

Hi Liz if you're still up. I have had another pm of Joyce and she promised Jan she would do as he asks, he can at least go to work without worrying about what she is up to.
Her leg is painful and stops her putting her foot down properly, she says it shoots down the left side of her bottom, down her leg into her foot. Does it sound like Sciatica (sp) and can she have caused it by struggling yesterday, she said she had hurt her back as well.

Liz I am still the same but on my own today, hubby back at work but says I have to ring him If I can't manage.

Hi Caz. you just caught me, am making another cuppa to take up with me and hope I can doze off again.
Hope you will be ok today - don't take a leaf out of Joyce's book, you take things easy and only do what it takes to keep yourself comfy all day. Will be thinking about you.

Could be sciatica with Joyce, but she could maybe have trapped a nerve when she was twisting about and lugging mattresses around. Glad she is going to behave, but a bit like shutting the door after the horse has bolted, silly girl.
Catch you later, take care everyone, no furniture moving or mattress carrying today. (says she who used to move wardrobes on her own and more lol) I am sure that is why my shoulders are so bad now.)
love
