On Here I have found a second cousin who has found my Great Grand parents name which I did not know.
Problem is should I still buy My Grandmothers birth certificates in case My newly found second Cousin has made a mistake.
She said in the message that I can use stuff from her tree in my research.
Thank You.

your second cousin presumably has the birth certificate.....can she not let you have the details - or even a copy....?

I would wish to verify it, more so if they are pretty common names,,,,,,,,,,,as to where the information was sourced from and is it valid information from certificates?Parish Registers?Census?

If there is a certificate are they willing to share a copy.?

Yes it is a good idea when you can share a certificate.
You perhaps c ould buy the next one and give her a copy?
Well found.

thats the way I work with certs. when i get a new one i scan it in and then att it to emails to others who are "doing" the same tree. Cant see the point of buying lots of copies of the same certs if I can share ,after all i decided to buy in the first place. In exchange I often get verified info .
Got some parish records recently which I researched and copied from the Essex records Office, shared these too with rellies in Bournemouth and Australia. not easy for them to do !!
