Oxfam may give you a good price Hayley.....you wont have to bother polishing them then.....sides....if you rub too hard, the lacquer will rub off :-))))))

No probs Hayley...hope you find use for the tip..used it alot on the Navy base I worked at.
Also cheap compared to expensive silver cleaner.
Works great for cultery..jewellery..etc

They didn't have American Tan knee socks...only stockings held up with suspenders....*sighs....oh how I wish those days were back....lol....

Tip for cleaning silver: incase you interested.

Place sheet of tin foil ( baco) in tub of suitable size.
Pour on HOT water to a depth of 1in or so..depending on object.

Sprinkle hand full of salt over the foil...then as it dissolves..place silver item into tub onto foil in the hot salty water....then watch..as it cleans to a tea!..No chemicals..no smell..GREAT!
