I remember as a child women covering their heads with scarfs (the one's you tied under the chin) before going into church, would anyone know what sort of church that would be? |

It used to be all churches C of E and RC....and still is but only with the older generation ...you covered the crown of your head out of respect....I visited a church in turkey and they wouldnet me as I had shorts and vest on...they made be cover up first...my arms and legs |

In Malta they used to hand out shawls for women to cover their shoulders and arms if bare, and skirts and trousers too I think for women and men in shorts. |
