I remember as a child women covering their heads with scarfs (the one's you tied under the chin) before going into church, would anyone know what sort of church that would be?

Also in Jewish Synagouges is it for men & women to attend & do the women cover their heads?

Thank-you, Jackie.

In Malta they used to hand out shawls for women to cover their shoulders and arms if bare, and skirts and trousers too I think for women and men in shorts.
I always took a longer wrapround skirt to put on quickly out of respect. It's the same in Greece too, altho I think lots of places are less concerned than they were years ago.
