They only come here on the childrens summer holidays.
We are a cul-de-sac.... but he did not stay long enough for a child to say...*mummy can I......* and he was OFF.

Bev, my OH is pretty sick himself, and he could not run round the corner anymore.
At one time he walked faster than most people ran!
Oh ... old age brings it ALL with it.... ;-0)

Mine would never have fallen for that one...

Especially my youngest... and he always wanted a choc flake... still does.

I used to owe the Ice cream woman money at the end of the week.
He would go our and would ask her for a chocolate... I would be on the House step saying noooooo.
But she would say *ow.... * and give him a choc*..
He used to remind her of her own baby who had had to stay in Italy with his gran.
She brought him over when he was about 4 I think.

If it's any consolation Deanna, when I went on my Food Hygiene course they said that mobile ice cream vans were one of the most unhygienic food sellers you could find!

We keep the freezer stocked up with those after 8 choc cones, they were on offer for a while at the supermarket and we got hooked, worked out about 30p each or something, now they are dearer but still tasty so we make sure there are some in most of the time.
So sorry you had to miss out Deanna, might have been the day there were bugs in the icecream so you have had a lucky escape lol
